Traynor & Associates, Inc. is a real estate appraisal and consulting firm with a focus on commercial, industrial and development properties. The company serves the entire State of Indiana and has performed appraisal assignments in over 50 different Indiana Counties as well as various assignments in Illinois.

Traynor & Associates offers a full range of real estate appraisal services, market studies and feasibility analysis. The staff consists of 9 appraisers and 3 support personnel. The firm handles single property appraisal or large multi faceted projects. Property types that are appraised include commercial, office, retail and industrial. The company specializes in land development analysis, subdivision valuation and eminent domain appraisals. The company is led by Joseph C. Traynor, who is recognized as an industry leader and educator.

Traynor has served as the 1996 President on the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR) and as the 2001 President of the Indiana Association of Realtors. Additionally, he has served on the board of directors or as a committee chair of the Realtor Foundation, the Hoosier State Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Joe served as the 2003 Appraisal Chair for the National Association or Realtors and was the Region 7 (Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin) vice president in 2004. He was appointed to the Appraisal Foundation's Board of Trustees in 2005 and was appointed by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to the Indiana Appraiser Certification and Licensure Board in 2006. He currently serves as vice chair of the board.

Joe has taught courses for MIBOR, the Indiana Association of Realtors, the Fountain Warren County Board of Realtors and the Real Estate Careers Institute. He has also taught for the National Association of Realtors, the Wisconsin Realtor Association and the Indiana Association of Realtors. Joe was a featured speaker at the 1998 Indiana Real Estate Conference, sponsored by the Indiana University School of Business and the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors and he has also taught courses for the Indiana Bar Association. He has written articles for numerous real estate publications and was a member of the Indianapolis Star's “Home Team”, a panel of real estate experts who provided real estate articles to the newspaper.
